Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has pledged to grow the Premiership club into a worldwide brand to rival Manchester United, targeting China as a major area of growth. With United already well established in the Far East and other clubs including Real Madrid ahead of Chelsea in the queue for the lucrative overseas markets, Kenyon has identified the US and China as growth opportunities. To build Chelsea into a global brand, the Chelsea boss said he would not try to repeat what he had done in his previous role at Manchester United but concentrate instead on the club's strengths. Kenyon insisted that new manager Jose Mourinho would have to help the team win the Premiership or the Champions League for the club to fulfil its global expansion plans. 转自搜狐
