On the afternoon of April 1, Wang Yiding, Deputy Director of General Office of CPC Tianjin Committee and Vice-director-general of Implementation Bureau of the 6th EAG Organizing Committee, took an interview with Dialogue on EAG, a special program presented by Sport Salon of Enorth website. During the interview, Mr. Wang represented matters concerning organizing structure, media report, volunteer recruitment, opening and closing ceremonies, etc.

While introducing efforts on preparing the opening ceremony, Wang Yiding said: “In 2011, General Offices of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council have jointly published Opinions on Further Regulating Application and Preparation of Hosting Large-scale Comprehensive Sports Events, which required following international practice of hosting large-scale comprehensive sports events, simplifying opening and closing ceremonies, and prioritizing the events per se. Since the convention of the 18th National People’s Congress of CPC, regulation on prompting frugality and preventing extravagance has been staged. Leadership of CPC Central Committee, Tianjin Municipal Committee and government reiterated hosting sports events economically. General Administration of Sport of China also required us to strictly adhere to relevant regulations on ceremonies published by the General Offices of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council. In preparing the opening and closing ceremony, we positively carry out requirements on frugality, maintain a rational scale and highlight quality, striving for a wonderful, complete and successful opening and closing ceremonies of the 6th East Asian Games. ”
