The 30th East Asian Games Association (EAGA) Council Meeting was held in Tianjin on May 16. Nine EAGA members and representatives from the sister Olympics committees attended the meeting. The 6th Tianjin East Asian Games Organizing Committee was also invited and presented the meeting.
The meeting made resolution that the East Asian Games would become the East Asian Youth Games (EAYG) after reform. EAYG will be held every four years with athletes ageing from 14 to 18 years old.
