GT Pole Position : Walter Lechner Jr. - nr 4 Konrad Motorsport Saleen S7 : "I'm very happy to be in front today. I think the first qualifying was probably somewhat quicker than the second one, but our car has been very good all the time. I have to thank Pirelli for the great work they've been doing. The new tyre compound is really fantastic. The priority for tomorrow is to finish the race. We've been in front during the last races as well, but we haven't actually seen the chequered flag yet. So we have to make a good start, a good first stint and try not to hit the curbs too much because the tyres are a bit sensitive about that."

N-GT Pole Position : Christian Pescatori - nr 62 GPC Giesse Ferrari 360 Modena : "This is our first pole position for this year, so I'm very happy for my mechanics and Pirelli. The new tyre has been a really big step forward. It's incredibly fast and helped a lot to set pole time today. I hope we can do well in the race, but it's going to be difficult because of the 30 kilos penalty weight."

2nd in GT : Michael Bartels - nr 5 Vitaphone Saleen S7 : "In the first session, we had a little scrutineering problem with the rear wing. We passed scrutineering yesterday, so maybe something was bent when we went into the gravel - I don't know. Anyway, Walter set an incredible lap time this morning, which we knew would be very difficult to beat. So we focused on the race set up during the afternoon session, but also worked hard on getting back to the front row. The track fits the Saleen cars really well. It's our job now to actually get the car to the finish. The clutch problem that took us out in Valencia came totally unexpectedly, and we spent the time between the races to double-check everything. We will run another check tonight to make sure we will have a car which will cross the finish line!"

2nd in N-GT : Lucas Luhr - nr 99 Freisinger Motorsport Porsche 996 GT3-RS : "It was an incredibly close qualifying in the N-GT category. We used the second session to work on the race set up. Our lap was good, but the time Ferrari set was really fantastic. It was about two and a half seconds quicker than last year's best time. We hadn't expected that. But out car is working really well right now."

3rd in GT : Fabrizio Gollin - nr 2 BMS Scuderia Italia Ferrari 550 Maranello : "The 80 kg penalty weight is really a lot. We knew it would have been possible to get close to the Saleen cars without the weight, so I think it was a very good job from both Michelin and the Scuderia to qualify in third place. The ballast will be hard on the brakes during the race. It certainly will be very difficult to win tomorrow and make it three in a row, but we'll see."

3rd in N-GT : Stephane Ortelli - nr 50 Freisinger Yukos Porsche 996 GT3-RS : "The qualifying sessions went all right. It's a bit frightening, though, because the Ferrari is a brand new car and they didn't really test so far - and now they've managed to score their first pole position after two very strong podiums. That's rather scary for the future, because you just know they'll be even quicker after they've actually tested. We will nevertheless try and beat them in the race. That is going to be very important for the championship."

4th in GT : Karl Wendlinger - nr 17 JMB Racing Ferrari 575 M Maranello : "To be fourth is quite a big step forward for us. In Valencia, we were only in 10th position on the grid. The car has been working well. But the tyres are only good for a really fast time on their first lap out, and I didn't really make use of that as well as I probably could have. Nevertheless, I'm rather happy with our position now."

5th in GT : Matteo Bobbi - nr 1 BMS Scuderia Italia Ferrari 550 Maranello : "This afternoon we didn't use any new tyres as we'd used them all this morning. Gabriele did a long run to see what the tyre wear was like and I just did the last few laps. We are making a few small changes to the car for tomorrow but we didn't had any big problems. This morning I had traffic problems and, without that, maybe I could have qualified one position further in front but in this Championship I don't think to qualify 4th or 5th is a problem for a long race."

Wolfgang Kaufmann - nr 22 Wieth Racing Ferrari 550 Maranello : "The qualifying hasn't been optimal, really. Things were working well in the race in Valencia and while we didn't test in the meantime, we tried to modify our car a bit between the races and make some improvements. But now there's obviously something wrong. We're always getting out too late, both in free practice and qualifying, wasting too much time working on the car. Basically, we just need one or two days of testing to sort out the major problems. The rear of the car is not really stable when we're breaking and shifting down the gears, which means we're losing both traction and time."

Antonio de Castro - nr 56 AB Motorsport Porsche 996 GT3-RS : "We are quite happy with qualifying; we are fifth in N-GT, behind the three Freisinger cars and the Ferrari, which we think is quite good. Our aim is to finish in third position. We finished fourth in Monza, but we were lying third when a tyre problem meant we had to make an extra pit stop twenty minutes before the end."

Jens Petersen - nr 59 Jens Petersen Porsche 996 GT3 : " After all the problems yesterday, the first qualifying today went really well. It was the first time we're driving with Dunlop, so we had to work out the setup from scratch. We'll not be setting our goals too high for now. We have a rookie in the team, our third driver, who doesn't have as much experience as the rest of us. So we are not aiming too high for the race tomorrow. If we see the chequered flag, I think we can be satisfied."

Jamie Campbell-Walter - nr 27 Creation Autosportif Lister Storm : "I set the same time as last year, so it can't be bad. My second lap was actually a better lap - we could maybe have been one place higher, but I met a Ferrari on the last corner. The car feels nice, it's handling well, it should be good. Unfortunately, Jamie (Derbyshire) went off in the second qualifying session, so he lost some of his running time, but apart from that, I think we're looking good. Actually, Bartels did me a favour, as I prefer being on the even numbers side for the starting grid tomorrow, and I think sixth is better than fifth !"

Fabio Babini - nr 11 GPC Giesse Ferrari 575 M Maranello : "This morning it was going well, but we could not find the right set-up with the right tyres. When the car was right, the tyres were already past their best. We have a good car for the race, but we still need to find the right solution for qualifying. But our position is quite good, and Philipp and I make a good team. I think it will be a difficult race tomorrow, but I hope we will get to the finish line."

Emanuele Naspetti - nr 13 GPC Giesse Ferrari 575 M Maranello : "It did not go as well as we expected this afternoon. We couldn't run the proper tyres in the best way. This morning the circuit was probably much faster, but we opted to keep the tyres for this afternoon, when it was slower. It is our fault. This morning we tested a very hard compound, which was very promising on this circuit last year, and we wanted to try it. But it was too hard for the weather conditions. This afternoon, the tyres were good but the session was slower. But qualifying is not so important for the race, so now we have to work in the right way for tomorrow."

Stéphane Daoudi - nr 19 JMB Ferrari 575 M Maranello : " I did three or four laps in the morning; the car was not yet properly set up, but it will be a lot better for the race. We're not doing too badly. I would like to thank Peter (Kutemann) and Antoine (Gosse) for asking me to drive with them. When I was out yesterday in the wettest conditions, I was one of the fastest drivers out there; things are really going well and I am getting on well with the team."
