Beijing Hyundai has climbed to third place after thrashing visiting Shenyang Jinde 4-1 in the third round of the Chinese Super League. After two lackluster stalemates in the first two matches, Hyundai, cheered on by a roaring 20,000-strong crowd at the Workers' Stadium, allowed fans to enjoy a convincing success. Hyundai now is only two points behind leader Shanghai Shenhua. Elsewhere, the visiting Sichuan Guancheng put an end to Shenhua's winning streak with a 1-all draw. Another Shanghai team, International, rallied to hold Tianjin Taida 2-2 in an away fixture with goals from skipper Qi Hong and Brazilian striker Ze Alcino.
