Triple Olympic champion Marie-Jose Perec has announced her retirement from athletics and says she wants to enjoy a normal life now. The 36-year-old French woman left Sydney just ahead of the 2000 Olympic Games and has not raced since July 8, 2000. Perec says she decided to retire eight months ago, but wanted to get used to the experience of not training and competing before officially announcing it. Perec won the 400m at the 1992 Olympics and then completed the 200m and 400m double at the 1996 Games in Atlanta. She was also crowned world champion in the 400m in 1991 and 1995. 转自搜狐
