1. If circumstance permits, will you visit China with England or Liverpool?
I'd love to travel to China - I do not know of any immediate plans for either Liverpool or England to visit China, but I've heard it’s a great place to tour with a beautiful culture, the fans are amazing and they are really starting to establish themselves on the football scene.
2. Which team do you think will be the champion in Euro 2004? And who will be the best scorer?
It’s difficult to identify any single favorite for the championships. France have a fantastic record in the lead-up to the competition only losing a single game and that was against a very good Czech Republic side who like France didn't lose a game in the qualifying.
Additionally Holland have very talented players and I like there style of play, Portugal as hosts will be tough to beat they have a number of experienced and exciting players. Sweden are also an exciting prospect and from their performance against England in March they look like they could be a bit of a surprise package.
In that group I would also have to mention England, I think we have a great mix of young, exciting and experienced players and have strength across the field.
I would think that the top scorer is likely to come from one of the finalists. Forwards such as Christian Vieri, van Nisterooy, Henry and Trezeguet will be there or there abouts, and I hope to be up there too!
3. Would you please comment on your predecessor Alan Shearer?
Alan is a phenomenal striker there's nothing he can't do - he scores from inside the box with headers or tap ins or he can score fantastic strikes from outside of the box showing brilliant skill and ability. He has had a brilliant career and continues to play at the highest level for Newcastle.
He has been a great ambassador to the game for England
